Don't forget to beat off the turnerer. Throw the bowl out of the window.

Well if it is recipes for Christmas then here is a great one. This is a turkey recipe that also includes the use of popcorn as a stuffing ---- imagine that! It will truly shake up your holiday.

When I found this recipe, I thought it was perfect for people who just are not sure how to tell when poultry is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out. This is really good, give it a try.

STUFFED TURKEY
18-21 lb. turkey
3 cups melted butter, divided
3 cups stuffing mix (Pepperidge Farm is good)
3 cups uncooked popcorn (Orville Redenbacher's is perfect as it has the fewest unpopped kernels when done)
Salt/pepper to taste
______________________________

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Brush turkey well with 1 cup melted butter; salt and pepper to taste. Mix popcorn, stuffing and 2 cups of butter. Fill turkey cavity with mixture.

Place in roasting pan with the neck end toward the back of the oven.

Listen for the popping sounds.

When the oven door blows open and the turkey flies across the room, it is done.

And, you thought you couldn't cook!!! tongue.gif
