Jump to first unread post

A few months ago, I suggested to the forum administrator in a Hi-Fi forum I'm active in, that the "Jump to last post" facility we have here would be a useful improvemnent. Now, I'm coming to the conclusion that a facility I find in another forum where I spend a lot of time (work orientated - PLCs) would be useful here, especially when returning after the weekend at home.

Any possibility of implementing a "Jump to first unread post" facility. Depending on the thread, the "Jump to last post" is not ideal, in particular where threads have spread over a longer period of time.

Just a thought, I'm not trying to find ABMs for underemployed editors!

If you click on the little orange/white box ( [img]http://www.britboard.de/style_images/1/newpost.gif[/img] ) next to the thread title in the forum index it will take you to the first unread post in that thread.

please dont tell me that that has always been there :doh:

Nice to have it - even (especially?) if has always been there.

Just a pity when you hover the mouse pointer over it, it say "Goto last unread" post!
