How did you find them?
How much do you pay them?
If you used an agency, which one did you use?
Thanks in advance!

The best way to find a cleaner is probably by looking at the cards put up on noticeboards in shops in your area, or even put one up yourself. The usual rate is between 8 and 10 euros an hour. If you go through an agency you will pay more and the cleaner will get less.

Watch the labour laws. They're clamping down on "moonlighting". There is a new government scheme for "Minijobs" which allows you to pay people a pittance and avoid social costs.
But believe it or not, if you're paying them for regular work, and it's a fair enough wage for them to live off, you get involved in a whole rule book of admin!

I received a recommendation from a friend and hired a lovely Philipino couple who both come once a week for two and half hours each. They clean the place perfectly, do all of the ironing, change the bedding and even check the fridge to make sure all the food is still in date. All this for a very reasonable EUR 50 per week.
