Pasinger Island Wine Festival - in a Castle

Hi,

I heard something about this wine fest at a castle right near the Pasing sbahn stop where you can go in the castle & do the fancy thing or lie around on the grass outside & partake. Sounds so nice!

Anyone know what it is called/when?

Gotta warn you: the whole thing is completely overpriced and the wine is lousy!! Castle is also a bit of an exaggeration...the atmosphere is quite nice but don´t expect too much! It´s also quite inconvenient to get there

i *think* I was at this last year... The castle is more like . . ahmm . .
a large house. There were massive queues to get in... but there were TONS
of people outside in the park gettin' hammered.

Bring your own booze if you are doing the "drinking in the park" thing,
as the local garages at the time refused to sell any alcohol to people
who looked like they might be drinking it in the park. Seriously.
Ended up getting some take-outs from a restaurant.

Interesting day tho'...
