Britboard vs The Other Place

What is it about this board that (with the exception of a very few posts) it's not degenerated into the sort of inane slagging match that the other one became?

Did AWN miss the boat with regard to registration?
Did people learn their lesson last time?
Did we lose all the less-welcome users with the switch?

And how come the switch-over was so complete and quick?

Seriously though, I think the main reason that the board has been successful is because you lot have used it and made it successful.

it is probably a mixture of all the above comments, keep up the good work of trying to keep us lot under control.

I think this board just obviously attracts better clientele

And Old Bill keeps people like me in check.
He knows my IP address.

I think the PMs have made the whole thing a lot more freindly, and Bill seems to have good judgement about what to remove.
