why, why why do pensioners ignore the fact that they have all bloody day to do things like shopping and laundry??? mad.gif two days running, I've gone down to the laundry room at the crack of dawn only to find one of the pensioners (yesterday male, today female) using the one machine we have at the moment...aaaarrrrgggghhhhh!!! wacko.gif

my granny used to cook her dinner at 9 in the morning and then reheat it at lunch time, had nothing better to do

Schroeder should cut the state pension by 5% per year for the next 5 years... too much money is going to pensioners in Germany. While he's at it he should close all the coal mines too... another bottomless pit he's wasting taxpayers money filling. Not to mention the federal and state government... 25% cuts across the board in all government departments in 2005.

@ adi

(tongue in cheek ...)

why not cut the state pension by 25% per year for the next 4 years ... I'm sure that would clear out a few laundry rooms and supermarkets biggrin.gif

lol!!! I wouldn't mind, but I have had this polite discussion (about tenants who work needing to use the laundry room before or after work) with this lady before. she actually told me this morning that she had got up early especially! ohmy.gif she is not dumb or vague...she is an intelligent, well-travelled woman, now retired and who has just spent two weeks on holiday in china. sigh... rolleyes.gif

Well I guess it is pretty annoying...but as you stated that she is well travelled etc, then maybe she had plans for the day, things to do, places to see, not to mention all the laundry from her trip to China ohmy.gif

I am guilty of moaning about them myself too, but just because a person is a pensioner doesn't mean that they don't have things to do.

Just another side-should start a good debate laugh.gif

not denying pensioners also have things to do...just asking for a bit of consideration. we only have one washing machine at the moment for the entire block of more than 160 flats. I don't think it too much to ask that the few pensioners and others who are not working use the machine during the day when the wage slaves are at work. rolleyes.gif

roll on the day when the darned laundry room is fully equipped again... wink.gif

In the days when I had to commute 160 km every day, I used to think that they should ban pensioners from taking their cars onto the roads before 9:30 a.m. There should be roadside police checks and anyone over retirement age caught using their car illegally would have their car impounded and they'd have to find their own way home again. biggrin.gif
