Prices in germany compared to UK

What are the prices like in german for things like beer,meals at a restaurant ,essentials etc...?

cheaper than the UK, but if your going to work for €4 per hour you wont be able to afford to go out

It's just that i'm desperate to secure something(job wise) in hannover,
