in Germany.

A-3
Yes you can but not all mad.gif and it is expensive wink.gif
Slackmack
Its not that expensive A3, not for you anyway... your mother does all your shopping rolleyes.gif

But A3 is right that alot of UK products can be bought locally, you even get HP sauce in my local supermarket as well as multipacks of UK crisps
A-3

Slackmack
The word is "slag", and yes my mother does bring me cheese from the UK when she visits, as does anyone who is visiting me from home.

But your mother lives locally tongue.gif

How are plans going for your eventual one way flight ticket Hellie?
Hellie
Well...the house was at last transferred into my name at the beginning of April...(82% share I have) so...I expect sometime during the summer I will put it up for sale and start to sell my Worldly goods...no point in bringing it with me. Can buy new stuff when I get there. Thats the plan so far...*cross fingers* or as the germans would say...press Daumen... blink.gif
Slackmack
nervous?
Hellie
Yes and no...I really am looking forward to a new start, I love it in Germany, always feel so comfortable there. But its a big step, especially with the 3 boys and schooling etc. But they are keen and I'm sure it will be ok, understandably hard at first but they will be just fine. I am a little nervous about selling up etc...leaving everything behind me. But I am determined and will do my utmost to make it work. I'm being positive...biggrin.gif
Slackmack
There is always the fear of burning your bridges eh? understandable. I gotta say you have more balls than I, I wouldn't have the bottle to do what your doing. I really hope it all goes well right from the start.
Hellie
Well...I've already wasted too much time in my life, trying to please my 'ex' and in the end it didnt get me anywhere. Now its my time to live a little. Take chances and live life to the full. I don't want to say in a few years time that I wished I had taken this chance. It feels right to do this, so deep breath...and go for it! Yikes! *gulp*
Slackmack
I came to Germany with the Army, all I was looking forward to was cheap booze and cigs (dont smoke now tho). Your coming over to have a life. The differences couldn't be more extreme.
bbulldog
i came across as a 16 year old with my parents, so that was different too
i admire your courage too.
Slackmack
You just cant get a decent cup of instant coffee here
bbulldog

INSTANT COFFEE, why in hell would you want to drink instant coffee, that stuff is disgusting blink.gif
That must be a British thing, my mother said the same thing when she visited.

By the way Slack, I ate the Yorkie that I brought for you, was going to suprise you on your visit to Hockenheim laugh.gif
A-3
INSTANT COFFEE from Nescafe is better when the German one yuuuuummmmi and it is a British thing i love it better when the Maxwell . cool.gif andi am half German. tongue.gif
Slackmack
Ahh Leky you are obviously not a connoisseur of coffee, I love German coffee, hot, black, no sugar and so strong it comes in slices… but I also like the instant variety with milk and sugar, there is a huge difference as to how the body copes with the two different types.

German black and strong, - for every 1 cup that goes in… 3 come out ohmy.gif

Instant – less comes out than goes in dry.gif

As a trucky I hate having to stop every 15mins for a pee coz the damn coffee is going through me like an express(o) train (no pun intended rolleyes.gif )
