Keeping A UK Bank Account While In Germany

I was wondering what you all did about addresses for UK bank accounts.

I have an account with First Direct and have my statements posted out from my address in the UK. I am not anticipating leaving Germany in the near future, so is it OK to supply an address in Germany for a UK bank account, or is proof of UK residence required?

I am worried if I give my German address they'll close the account.

It's ok. I haven't had any problems

I use NatWest with no problems, although they were a bit touchy about an overdraft at first...

I have had no problems with Lloyds or the Halifax.
