Has anybody bothered to take the exam you need here to get your fishing license.
I would love to go fishing but it seems too much hassle to go through all the procedures here. Has anyone got any ideas how to get a license without going through all the palaver??

I have done the course and passed with an impressive 100% correct answer tally tongue.gif

The course I took was on Saturdays over a 6-week period, I had quite a good laugh really, but to pass the test at the end you must change all your methods of angling to the accepted way. After you have done the test you can do what you want, but until then just forget everything that you know and start from scratch.

You will be tested on fish recognition. blink.gif
(Naming fish from pictures)

Rod set-up for specific fish. blink.gif
(Sea, fresh water, fly fishing etc)

General understanding on the law and countryside protection blink.gif
(Tick questionnaire)

It is easy to pass but you need to be “taught to pass because 90% of the questions are bullshit and irrelevant dry.gif , but you are given the questions before hand to make it easier. Out of a possible 360 questions 70 are chosen and you are only allowed 5 errors. Sounds hard but it is really easy, but it’s still a pain in the arse. sad.gif

Don't they expect you to complete a night-time fishing and a motorway fishing course as well?
Or am I getting confused here? blink.gif
