Irish Magic Pub - near Huckelhoven in NRW

Update: the Irish Magic Restaurant and Pub has now closed.

The premises have reverted to a simple German village pub called the Altmyhlerhof - serving simple Balkan
food.

Hope no one objects to this submission as advertising - but it is I suppose. However just to let people know about the existence of an Irish Pub and Restaurant which caters for both local and Irish speciality foods and of course Guinness and Kilkenny on draught as well as Bitburger and Diebels Alt.

I ate there last night with a couple of friends. Between us we had an excellent Salmon, 'Drunken Beef' (a sort of Stroganoff in a Guiness Sauce) , Sizzling Sirloin with an Irish Whiskey and Pepper sauce (delicious - my choice) and home baked Irish soda Bread, and of course a few Kilkennys and Guinness.

The place is currently called the Altmyhlerhof (German name) but now incorporating the Irish Magic Restaurant and Pub. See the Google Map: Hückelhoven, Germany

Tenants: Dominic & Conny Woodiwiss
Dominic is english but a qualified cook trained in Germany - Conny is Bavarian!
