not sure if you only want girls, but there is a mixed badminton group
Ayesha
Well actually Iam only looking for girls, sin e I am muslim and hence
not allowed to deal with males.

Thanks though,
Ayesha

If I reply, does it contsitute mixing if you read it?
Grinner
If you arent allowed to mix with males, then why are there so many of you Muslims about the place? rolleyes.gif

yes...I would suspect that playing sports with us war-mongering Americans would be far more frowned upon than a little co-ed shuttlecock.

Why would playing a bit of co-ed badminton make Allah angry? How unreasonable is that?
catch_twotwo
Everybody has there own religous beliefs... so please respect that men playing badminton is a sin blink.gif I think I got that right... *shrugs*

It's too bad you can't go to any of the mixed sports things because I think you'd end up meeting some really great people. Anyway, it's not like it's co-ed naked badminton or ultimate frisbee or whatever (or have I been missing out on something? ).

I'd suggest coming along with me for a night out- but the only "sport" I participate in really is lifting one Maß of beer after another. unsure.gif

You might have better luck and really enjoy going to a gym for women.
Jenny L
I've just realized how bizarre this is. German speaking Muslim turns to TT in search of good clean fun. blink.gif Not to burst your bubble or anything, sweetheart, but I think you'd have a better chance of getting hit by lightening.

@jennyL: thank you!
Topsy
There are all sorts of reasons why a muslim (or indeed any) women might go looking for women-only sports activities.
Ayesha did say that she wasn't "allowed" to mix with males. There's no reason to beat her up over it, is there?
Maybe this is some kind of compromise that she's reached with her father or husband or something.

I did hear that there were some women-only swimming pools, does anyone know of any?

Er, she did but you're right on the rest Topsy, I don't see the problem here. If it's not what she does then it's not what she does.

Giesing-Harlaching on Wed afternoon and evening, all the other SWM pools only offer separate sauna evenings for women.

The International Women's Club of Munich offers badminton - I'm not a member, but info can be found below.

Hope this helps as opposed to the sarci comments of others!

I agree with Topsy and Keydeck. She wants to have an all female sports team and posted this. She has her reasons, so respect that. I am also looking for an all female volleyball team. However, not to scare anyone away, but it will be a topless league. If interested pm me.

@ayesha-
sorry i'm not interested in those sports, but let me know if you're interested in some others or something- just pm me smile.gif
good luck and pls ignore some of the posts people are putting up (not the topsy, brokenm, etc good ones. you have your religion/beliefs and you live by them good for you).
