If the weather's nice on Tuesday, then it might be worth cycling over to the Cinema on Nymphenburger Str.
Tuesday is "Free Cone Day", so you can get a free Ben & Jerrys ice cream all day.
You don't even have to go to see a film, you just show up and wrap your laughing gear round some tasty naughtiness.
Although if you *did* fancy taking in a film, the 8pm showing - appropriately enough - is Ice Age 2.

Apparently there'll be a bicycle mechanic there all day as well, so you can get your bike serviced while you're busily chomping down your ice cream. There's no mention of whether the maintenance man will be charging for his services, mind.

Could be worth a look-see, anyway, if you're that way inclined.

By the way, Ben & Jerry's have "Free cone days" on a regular basis at their outlets worldwide. The last one in Munich was about eleven months ago:

Nice! I can walk over there from work during lunch time. I hope they have oatmeal cookie dough ice cream as well. hmmmmmmm
UrbanAngel
Make sure they're open then though, BG. Often they open around 3pm.

The first film starts at 1.30pm, if that's any help
If I think on, I'll pop in when I cycle past and ask them when they open.

According to the Ben & Jerry's website it's open from noon on weekdays.

Apparently, this is happening in a few countries on Tuesday - but not in Ireland. Wonder if it's got anything to do with that 'tasteful' new flavour they brought out recently - "Black & Tan"? smile.gif

I always thought Black & Tan was a drink (lager & Guinness??) until I read this in the newspaper at the weekend - maybe the Irish connection is not so well known
Topsy
did you not learn about the Black and Tans at school?
I thought everybody did
everybody should do imo

mmmmm lecker schmecker... just downed a nice tub of chunky monkey ... thanks for the tip smile.gif
Topsy
did you happen to notice if the maintenance guy is charging for looking at the bikes, pike?

Ooops no, sorry sad.gif . It was a bit of a smash-and-grab job I'm afraid (funny, but I felt guilty going somewhere and getting something for free... until I tucked in to the eis).
I did notice a couple of student 'do anything for some free ice-cream' types lingering by the ice-cream counter (otherwise the place was dead).
