We haven't had Greek food in quite some time (I think the only greek restaurant I've been to in Europe was in .nl and that was over a year ago). So Petra and I would love to go for that option, if anyone else would join...

The Greek figures largely in our planning, I've been on a low-carb diet for two months now and neeeeeeeed some garlic bread with oil and oregano!

Ok, I will check this thread tomorrow and make a reservation at 6pm for those that want to join and if the weather is good, then we will be in the beer garden at 5ish. The restaurant is in the HeideMarkt area and is called Poseiden. This is just a stones throw from our house and is easy to find. Will pass along more info tomorrow.

Let's make it 5:00ish at the restaurant then. I will go make reservations now in case it starts to rain and we need an inside table. They have plenty of room so that will be no problem. If you come by train, there is a locality map on the platform. Our street is rather small so we are listed off to the right and is number 6,7 or 8.
As you come down from the platform, take a right, then a left up the stairs to exit the station and head for the crosswalk by the bank and take a right down the side street and then left, right, left, right to the end of the street. To get to Poseiden, keep going and take a left and look to your right for the Heidemarkt sign and
Tengelmann. They are on the other side of the big yellowish apartment building and there are two breezeways to get to the other side.
See you later.

Hey, it can't get any simpler than taking your first right and then alternating the first lefts and rights thereafter. Just check out the Munich Map at the top of the page and you will see what I mean.

PS: Table reserved for 15 -20 people under the name Randy. Bayern must be playing today or something because the place was packed with fans decked out in red.

Bayern is not playing today. Season is over. There is a huge celebration later on tonight happening at
Marienplatz and there are loads of television cameras set up for the festivities. There are loads of Bayern fans storming the area and taking over restaurants in the area decked out in their soccer garb. They are drunk and singing football songs. ole!

Today is the last game of the season and Bayern are playing. Just coz they're champs doesn't mean they're going to twiddle their toes.
Anyway, I went shopping today and saw Risk - the Star Wars version. Didn't buy it. But I am bringing the classic Risk along with Alhambra, Sorry and Memory, two bottles of wine and some bacon-pastry rolls.

Well, some 50-70 Bayern fans were feasting at my favorite Greek restaurant. Looked like some kind of family fan verein, not drunk but defo pigging out.

i understand the rest of the directions, except this bit. what are breezeways?
are they zebra crossings (black and white crossings, with no traffic lights)?
thanks and see you in a bit

A breezeway is like a "tunnel" through an apartment building. They are called breezeways because there is always a breeze going through them.

I thought a breezeway had a roof and open sides.

Thanks Eurovol for hosting a fun evening! I had a great time playing Apples to Apples. And Cranium. And Rummikub. It was lovely to meet new people (new to me anyway) and see some familiar faces. Good laughs had tonight. Warm fuzzies all around.

eurovol, thank you for hosting this event! Apples to Apples lasted only insignificantly shorter than the Risk battle, and the late night bar conversation was great.
