Does it exist in Munich?

Hi all, I know this may seem strange but I was wondering where are the best places to get pasta sauce from. I can get Uncle Bens Sweet n Sour Sauce from Tengelman for 1.49 EUR and spicy sauces from an indian shop nearby at 5EUR each! But I was wondering whether Walmart or Ldl sold a greater selection? Its quite a distance from where I live so any tips on what they sell wud be great thanks.

Try Karstadt at Münchner Freiheit. They've got a good selection of indian sauces and curry pastes, and some are a bit cheaper than I've found elsewhere (i.e. 3.45 or so). If you ever get out there, the Edeka at the airport actually sells Massaman curry, which I haven't seen anywhere else. Then of course there's the usual carbonara and tomato sauces at any grocery store...

Hope that helps!

Hertie have quite a good little selction of curry pastes and sauces. I get a curry paste there that makes around 4 curries, really nice as well. They are over on the back wall near the American food section, you really cannot miss it.

For curry pastes/sauces try Kohinoor in Adolf-Kolping-Str. Just off Sonnenstr, behind the Mathäser. They've got a selection of Patak's sauces, plus loads of other stuff.

They have all the spices & stuff so you could also try making your own.

Here are a few Curry Receipes.

My fave is: (West Schwabing / Hauptbahnhof area)
ASIA FEINKOST HAUS
Van Hoi
Augustenstrasse 51
80333 Munich

They have loads of different sauces and the extra bits you may need to accompany them.

1 x puree pack of tomatoe fresh sauce... - 20cents
500 grams of pork or minced beef - 4 euro or cheaper
handfull of BASILICO (basel)
teaspoon of salt or more
teaspoon of pepper or more
2 onions
2 peices of garlic and take out the heart... the inner bit
