If it is as good as his 70th birthday tour (saw him in Bielefeld 10 years ago) and he is with his full BB King Blues Band, then he'll be well worth seeing. Sadly, I don't have the dosh for this.

Brilliant! I saw him almost 20 years ago in Melbourne supporting U2 in their "Love Comes to Town" tour. One of the best concerts I have ever been to.

I'll be going too, anybody hear anything about a meet&greet? I heard "BB" likes to invite stunned fans for a little small talk after his shows ... ;-)

BB & Co. were fantastic, the support band were OK but who was the joker in between? Bavaria's answer to Mike Harding / Les Dawson I presume but what on Earth was he doing at a blues concert??
@Green Tea: looked for you in L3-17-1 but they'd closed off the entire section & shunted you somewhere else. Hope you enjoyed the show.

Yes, BB King was amazing! Can't believe he's 80. And his band were pretty good, too.
The comedian was Willy Astor. He's kinda well-known in these parts, but what he was doing - complete with guitar - at the concert of a blues legend, God only knows. I'd have brought earplugs if I'd known we would have to suffer that. At least it was only 15 minutes.
@ Mr D: I got moved to section E4 - that's on the right if you're facing the stage. Looks like the turnout was far smaller than anticipated. I was looking out for someone who might be you, but I don't think I saw you. Glad you enjoyed the concert anyway.

It was just G-R-E-A-T!! Fantastic, I was overwhelmed, what a gig! There was class, there was style, there was groove, he was funny, he was a bit talkative, but hey, he's BBKing! It was simply perfect! I let BB have a message that I'd be interested to meet him afterwards and was promptly invited into his tour-bus after he was finished handing out pics and fake gold chains after the concert. We chatted for about 20 minutes until he had to "go and get me some supper if ya'all know what I mean" ...
Now you guess at which point truth is overtaken by fiction in this here post of mine ... Blues On!
