Cheap calls for cell phones and Skype

Dear All

I have a quick question about an article or posting, I cant remember which one it was. Cant even remember if it was on Toytown

It was an article on cheep calls for cell phones and skype.

Essentially one purchases this box and plug it in at home, you then call the box (which is at home and attached to your land line and computer) from your mobile phone and then use you land line attached to your computer through you mobile to call other mobiles or international numbers at very reduced rates or free Skype to Skype.

I am sure I saw this on Toytown and want to inform a mate of mine about it.

It's called the Skype Callcenter.

The downsides being:

• It uses Skype
• It costs money
• It uses Skype
• It needs a running PC to operate
• It uses Skype
• It needs Skype-in (monthly cost)
• It uses Skype
• It only seems to be available (at the mo) in USA, so may need a different power adapter and phone adapters for German handsets
• It uses Skype

The main advantage is the integration into a standard phone service but many other real VoIP solutions do this such as the Supura SPA-3000 which costs around the same and does so much more (and doesn't use, or need Skype, thank heavens...)
