Pope Top Trumps

German company Kultquartett has just released their Pope Top Trumps set.

Game is played based on number of namesakes, number of predecessors, years as Pope and distance from Rome of the Pope's birthplace. So JP2 scores 1, 264, 27 and 1526 whereas Benny16 knocks in with 15, 265, 1 and 915.

There's even a set for Munich bars and clubs. Ok some of the data will be out of date, but this one quite appeals to me. Comes with about €280 worth of money-off coupons which are only valid till the end of April. They'll have a Summer/Autumn set out soon with new vouchers.

You didn't mention that the Bed Sports one is called "Bedsports Quartett". I suppose it is one to play with three very close friends.

I used to have great fun with a Top Trumps helicopters game when I was a kid, and my nephew swears by the one with sharks. Amazing to think how long such a fairly simple concept has been going.

How do you play? Just compare statistics to trump the others? How did they fix the Spaßfaktor in the "Bedsports Quartett" one?

I want to know what kind of vouchers they give with the Bedsports Quartett and how much those are worth...
