Grand Prix and Two football games

Since I'm going to miss Andechs I need to get leathered on Sunday afternoon - fortunately Sunday afternoon is the afternoon of the San Marino GP and Spurs v. Arsenal. I also believe Chelsea are playing (is it Newcastle?).

To that end I aim to get to GM's by 2pm at the latest to watch the Grand Prix and then the Spurs game. If, by some miracle, Spurs should win, I'll stay and do some Chas and Dave at the karaoke too.

Anybody think they'll be able to get over the hangover from Andechs+the TT party? If so, you know where I'll be.

Addition to title: "... and one basketball game"

I'm planning on coming by for at least the football game, I've been told about it enough that I feel obligated to come check it out.

Then, and more importantly cool.gif , I'll be heading over to Champions for the 21:30 showing of the NBA playoffs. Lakers vs. Rockets this Sunday, watched Dallas vs. Sacramento there last Sunday. I only wish I could watch more games on other nights.

If you're gonna watch a match watch the 5pm kick off of Spurs v Arsenal - Arsenal might even win the league with this game, and in any case they're rivals in North London and tension will be high - for me at least as I'm a Spurs fan and we're the clear underdogs...
Pascoe
Jimbo,

As you know mate I will be there from 4pm for the important footie game and of course WHEN we win I'll slip on the cor blimey trousers and start banging out 'You've got rabbit than Sainsburys...' as well smile.gif (For the unenlightened amongst us thats a line from the classic Rabbit song from the aforementioned Cockney duo)

Ciao,

Alan.

I'll be there...predictions...

Schumacher win (Like anybody can touch him at the moment!!)
Tottenham 2-1 win wink.gif

Then take the piss out of the Arsenal fans that are there every week mad.gif
Jimbo
OK Al - you're on, if and when we win I'll pull on the old Cor Blimey Trousers too - I'll be singing Rabbit as well, and maybe even playing the spoons 'n all. If only my old Nan were 'ere - she could get wasted on gin and start making comedy faces with her false teeth...

As for taking the piss out of Arsenal fans, I was intedning to stab a few with some of Murphy's dessert spoons...

So, Schuey got his fourth win (of four) this season, and Spurs drew 2 all with the Arsenal scum, thus meaning they won the league...nevertheless Spurs didn't lose, and Pascoe and I got to do some Chas n Dave on the karaoke... Great afternoon/evening out, and remember...

I knew I would meet a girl who would break my heart in two, but i didn't know she'd bend me ear 'oles too...rabbit, rabbit, rabbit...etc. biggrin.gif
Keydeck
Shame I missed the karaoke. Still, the earlier cabaret was worth it. "Do you wanna step outside and sort it out?" . I'm still chuckling about that smile.gif

@Keydeck - It's a sad state of affairs when a Spurs fan can't go down the pub, and within half an hour have somebody 'offer him out', isn't it??? wink.gif

@Katrina - Gertcha!!!

And yes - I feel like a pig shat in my mouth this morning...

Yes quality piece of cockney karaoke by Jimbo and myself, I mean we must of been good and did the song justice by the look of 200 or so stunned faces when we finished and the fact that the bloke running the show said he would take it off the list for next week, obviously he thought no one else could do it as well as us... smile.gif
Jimbo
Quite right mate - performances like that are, literally, unbeatable - I've not met Profundo yet, but I definitely want him to come down to the karaoke soon, perhaps to become an understudy to Pascoe and I when we do an entire evening of Chas and Dave - I'm gonna call Günthers later and negotiate a fee for Al & Jim's first big performance of cock-er-nee hits. I think we're gonna call the night 'Roll out the Barrel'.

And yes - 200 stunned German faces were well worth the humiliation we had to endure.

Aaaaaaaaah. I missed the Chas n Dave?? Gutted son, gutted. Hope you did the boys justice, but I bet you could not pull off the full-blown rabbit-rabbit-jibjab-bunny bit. Well tricky after a few beers wink.gif

They didn't actually let you sing that bit - there was a backing track with that on - I reckon that Pascoe and I were well up to the job, but Gerrold's karaoke machine did it for us - well gutted we were, but managed to do a bit of 'rabbit, rabbit, rabbit' towards the end when we realised we were being duped.

The most shaming bit was that an Arsenal fan tried to hug me after I finished. 'Fair play to you mate' he said - I told him I thought he was a *@€$ and that he should §$%& off...all in a cheerfull cockney manner of course.
