How about a ride down by the Isar this weekend?

Hi,

As Spring is here (so I've been told), it's time to pack away those skis/snowboards and dust off the Mountain Bike.

So who is up for a ride on the Isar Trails this weekend?

If you haven't been down these trails yet, there is lots nice flowing singletrack, without any big hills. So its great for a group of mixed abilities, and as it's early in the season I wouldn't expect the pace to be too fast.

Plan is to start at the Tierpark and ride towards Schäftlarn. Meet on the road bridge by the north entrance of the Tierpark at 13:00 on Friday (14th April).

See you there,
Martin.

I'll be there... smile.gif

I'm also tempted... how far were you thinking of going...?

Could be anything between 30 - 50km.

Won't make this one as bike needs it's service first, but would be interested to get out regularly on this trail or out on the BOB after work. What sort of pace we talking about? I am physically fit, but not a world champion..Also got a fully (my excuse for being slower than my buddies on the flat!)

I was thinking of going as far as Schäftlarn. I don't know how far that is - maybe something between 30 and 40Km. I'd reckon we just see how we all feel and decide on the day. If some people want something shorter, you can easily turn around at the Grunwald bridge and follow the track on the west side of the river all the way back to the start (which would make about a 20Km ride).

I'd guess that we are all a bit rusty at this point in the year and that the pace on Friday will be relatively relaxed. So, you'll have to get that bike fixed up and join us before we get too fast ... I wish.

not broke, just needs a start of season tweak. My local shop charges €50 for a full service. Gonna drop them in there unless anyone has a hot tip for a bike service?

not sure where you live... but there is a great place 100m from my flat -2-Rad, at the corner of Georgenstr and Nordendstr. in Schwabing. Costs about 20 oreos for general tune-up.

The place is ALWAYS packed on the weekend with people waiting to get their bike serviced. best to go midday during the week.

My bike needs to be tweaked a bit still, but count me in as well.

i'm at home with a horrible cold today, so don't look out for me either. schade, was ready to get back in the saddle.
