Anyone up for tearing it up with me tomorrow, Wednesday April 12th? Approx. 20 cms of fresh fell last night, and another 15 or so is expected during the course of today. Tomorrow's conditions are looking good with a bit less wind and def. less snowfall during the day. Freezing levels will remain decently low as well peaking at around 900 m.

Destination is Hochfügen / Hochzillertal, and I got a quattro with winter tyres to get us there.

Interested?

Post here or PM me.

I think the forecast is especially good for Friday isn't it?

EDIT actually that was from the TV forecast last night - internet forecast today doesn't look quite so good

I'd love to. Whenever the weather is best. I went to Stubai last Sat with the Munich-Skiclub. Conditions were perfect, even the 10km run all the way to the bottom was open! biggrin.gif

Yeah, Friday looks all sunshine and warm, but that's not the kind of skier I am... biggrin.gif I want it cold, and the snow fresh.

Erik, how was the snow there? thinking about going there on Friday.

It was good - about 30 cms of fresh, but you could tell that spring had flirted a bit with the place as there were more than plenty of rocks around (talking off piste here). Visibility was a shit too, and the fact that I went alone and couldn't even find anyone on the mountain to hook up with (I was literally the only one straying off the beaten path) had me err a bit more on the cautious side.

I hear it's gonna warm up considerably for Friday, so any fresh will be a bit funky textured at that point, but if you're just gonna hit up the slopes, then it's a great place to go as the elevations are high at Hochfügen. If the weather is clear for Friday (I've heard mixed reports), then Hintertux further down the road is probably even better.

Have fun. tongue.gif

Doesn't sound too bad tubsy..

I think there are two more days left in the season for me. One at Hintertux and one at Stubai, and I'm not really counting on powder for either of them. Just waiting for a good day weather wise cause there is no protection up there..
