Slow going at the moment! Game still on but let's try to get mates etc to join in. 3,000 or whatever members and only 5 footballers available?! Can't be right!

Damn. My guy from work, Andi, might have to pull out for tonight (bit of a strange compliance thing he's got to do), which could make the game a bit less than we had hoped. We're already low on people. Just wanted to give the Guff-ster a warning.

If we only have 6-8 people, we could have a bit of a training (headers & volleys, etc.) but for €10 a pop it may not be worth it...

This game's in bad shape at the moment. It's too late to cancel it but I could ask them to try and get rid of it before say 6. If they don't, we'll still go down. I'd rather not do that though so we could try to get a couple more players from somewhere. Anyone who works for a big company, stick a post on your intranet or whatever looking for players. This is a big city so there must be a few willing footballers out there!

Okay, I've told the socca5 place they can try and find someone else. If no-one else has taken it before about 5pm, I said we'd come down. I'll post another message on here at around 5:30pm to confirm either way. We can always grab one or 2 players I'm sure if we are playing, but it might just be easier to accept defeat this time. Will confirm later so keep an eye on the thread.

Is there anyone out there who wants to play indoor football tonight at the Olympic Park. We're down to the bare bones with only 5 and we need at least 8. Ask your colleagues or whatever. Max of 6 euros each if we get 8 for 90 minutes. Just post here! Ta

They moderated my new thread again. Fuck it. Anyway, game cannot be cancelled and so is ON! It looks like 5 of us at the moment but we should hopefully be able to drag a few more players in once we're down there. Headers and volleys at the very least. Keep trying to get players by all means. See you there (I hope...)

Try to get there a bit early so we can get started and not waste any time. 8 x 10-minute games is the target. I agree. Was excellent last night. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Yeah, went really well, although I'm pretty beat today. If the mods read this post, can you change the time on the main post to 8pm - 9:30pm? There was some sort of mix-up but that's the new regular time.

For the rest of the players, after some consideration I've decided to put the money for the subs (€15 from last night) into the end of season fund, which will be used to pay for extra games. It's too complicated to try and give people money back for individual games and would not be fair as you may have 5 regulars missing (like last night) and only 3 subs. Who gets the money? If you are going to be missing 4 or 5 consecutive games, you should look to have a sub buy those games off you. I think we're all going to miss one or two games over the season but we can get them back with the extra 'free' games at the end. Hope you all agree that's fair. See you all next week.

Football was excellent again tonight but DAMN tiring! Although 12 signed up to play today, only 8 actually came. 4-a-side for 90 minutes is a killer but IW injured his old knee to make matters worse after about 40 minutes. That really highlighted the need for more people to come, and I have to stress the need to try to make it if you've said you will. We had to do 3-on-3 with one rolling sub after IW's injury, so none of us will be in too fit a state tomorrow morning! I wish you all the best IW for a speedy recovery and mentioned to Sean that maybe he should take over your permanent slot for the time being. You guys can sort out the money for that if you like and he'll thus pay me no subs till you return. Let me know what you reckon...and what the doc says!

I'd also just like to update everyone on the money situation. We now have 14 regular players. 12 games have been booked and we have the option to continue. The money from the extra 2 players that have recently joined (and the €5 sub money) will go towards extra games at the end of the set. These will effectively be 'free' games for the regular members, which should make up for the few games that everyone will no doubt miss over the course of the next few months. With 2 games gone, there is currently €30 in the sub kitty. Every penny I get from players is noted and put away and it will all be above board so have no worries there. I will regularly update the state of affairs and let you know how many extra games we are likely to have. Should be at least 3 or 4 (maybe more), meaning you get 15 or 16 games instead of the original 12. Hopefully see more of you next week. Cheers lads.

I was getting frutstrated about not scoring and pushed myself, when I knew very well that I had taken a knock on Saturday in the park, it was silly of me. I cant walk today, and I know that its gonna be a good while till my knee will be able to cope with a game of footie again. Thanks for the support, will rest the leg for 24/48 hours and see what its like after that.. hopefully its just bruised a little.
