Indoor five-a-side football games - Fridays

I'm looking for a third time a week football match. Tuesdays preferably, unless it's after 21:30...

I play on Mondays at the moment, so a date later on in the week like Thursday would suit me.

Once i get back to Germany in mid November, I will be up for it. Any day during the week is fine except tuesdays and thursdays.

Time to get back out there. Count me in especially if you block book. Wednesday is better, but will bend to the will of the masses for Monday. Usually stuck at work late on Mondays.

So are we doing this, or what? There seems to be enough interest.

I think the problem is finding a free slot.

We're doing this but as inflatable woman says, it's not easy to find a free slot. It's also expensive down there so I'm asking around for another place. As soon as I know further (should be end of this week), I'll post the details.

It took a while but anyway...fact is that there isn't any other decent alternative to the Socca 5 place (I've called every darn sports club in town). There's one other big place somewhere but that's even more expensive.

Facit is, we will only be able to get a permanent slot from April onwards (ridiculous I know) due to the crazy level of bookings there. There are a few random slots open from about February onwards which could be booked and at least we could have a game about once a week. The pitches are quite expensive (€44 for an hour) but I would suggest getting 12 players together and doing 3 teams of 4 for 90 mins which works out at about 5,50 per player per game. That ain't too bad. If only 8 show up, it's about €8 each. Considering this is the same price we've all paid for watching some old crap film in the cinema, I think it's money well spent for having a good laugh. Before I start making any block booking, we need to get the names together of the people who want to play regularly. You would then pay in advance and would be guaranteed a place. If you can't make it, somebody else can step in and pay for that game and you get the money. Best way to do it I think. If you're not a regular, post yourself as a possible sub to be contacted if someone can't make it.

Okay, I propose for April that we do football on a Monday night from 7:30pm-9pm starting 10 April. If this is no good, we can pick any other day (at the moment!!!). It seems like a long way off but it's not really and is the only chance we've got of regular indoor footy. Okay, so who wants to be one of the regulars then?

That's why I thought we'd do the 'subs that come pay' policy. As long as they turn up, you get your money back for that game. Think about it anyway.

I would be up for it i wouldnt be able to commit each week, but i would be prepared to pay if needs be..

I'm gonna try and get a block booking from then onwards and then will get back to you about when they want payment. In between now and then, I'm gonna book a few games on whatever random days they have on a pay-as-you-play basis just to keep the old bones moving. Okay. The first game is booked and now they want a block booking but everyone will have to pay up front (especially after last time). I will organise the transfer of the total amount to the soccafive place, and you guys transfer your portion to me. Don't worry, there won't be any of that 'the money was just resting in my account' nonsense - I promise!

12 weeks x €66 (90 mins/week) = €792 divided by 12 players is...yep you guessed it:

€66 per player.

Remember, if you don't play, any sub will have to contribute a fiver towards the game, which you get back. If no-one can stand in, too bad (but this shouldn't really be a problem).
PM me to confirm you are okay with this arrangement and I'll send you my bank details.

10 of 12 agreed to paid or paid already. Just 3Lions and ScobbyDoo to go. Pitch is now booked and they're gonna give us 10% off which means we can have an extra week (making 13 in all) for nothing! That leaves about €13 which I'm thinking about putting towards a ball for us or something, unless everybody would rather have €1 back!

That means I'm waiting for the final 3. If I haven't heard back from you by next week, your places will be open to new players, which I think is only fair as you've all had long enough.
