Indoor five-a-side football games - Fridays

could someone explain how does subbing work? Do you guys play 5 a side with substitutions during the game or if someone cancels or there isn't enough people then the subs should show up?

Generally we play with 12 so there are 2 subs on the day.

These are generally the first 2 people to contact DJ.

All the others who contact him once the 2 subs spots are taken are in the list of subs who can play should one of the regulars drop out.

Exactly as Mr JOB said more or less. We have 12 regulars who have paid up for the whole season (25 games). We play 5-a-side so the last two to arrive start as subs. We then sub off and on to keep the game flowing while still allowing everyone to have a breather. You're still second on the extras list for this week, so you'll get the chance to play if two more regulars drop out.

p.s. fellas - everyone seems to be nominating their own subs now, which is cool, but it means that the guys who registered their interest before them are still waiting - and may not even get a game. It's cool for this week, but let's try and stick to the old system as it's the fairest way of running things. Anyway, the next two subs in are definitely:

I'm in

Football this Friday as per usual. We are actually down to the last five games of the winter programme . The remaining dates are as follows:

14 March
4 April
11 April
18 April
25 April

We can book some extra games during that crazy Easter break, but I'll post more about that next week. What I'm doing now is seeing who's still interested in booking a pitch in the summer? It's still a great place to play even when it's warm outside, and I was thinking of booking a Monday evening at about 7:30 pm so that people will not be too tempted by the beer gardens. If you're interested, are prepared to pay upfront and will be around for most of the summer, send me a PM and I'll add you to the list.

Can't do mondays... Friday's are great for me!

I'd like to become a regular for Summer.

Mondays are no good for me either though. If you're looking at weeknights, then Tuesdays or Wednesdays are best for me.

Fridays in the summer just don't work because everyone wants to go away for the weekend or head to a beer garden. They'll probably find me there, so I can certainly see their point!

Mondays seem to be logical because nothing of any interest ever happens on a Monday...normally! Tuesdays could be an option too, so register your interest with me and just tell me the weekdays you absolutely cannot do. I'll then try my best to pick the day that would suit the most amount of people. I think 7:30 is a good time midweek.

I would definitely prefer Mondays at 7.30.

Tuesday or Wednesday would also be alright for me in the summer, but not when the Champions League returns.

Monday

I can do, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Hence, I cannot do... Monday, Tuesday or Thursday.

Hazza, you're in. Stnx is the next one in line. Anyone else interested in being a sub should buzz me a PM.

No football this week and probably for the next few weeks as it's booked out. Our next regular game is on 4 April. If I can book any kind of pitch between now and then I will, so keep your eyes on the thread just in case.

This week is taking shape but it looks like we'll need more subs so give me a shout if you want to play.

As for the summer booking, I'm sorry it's taken so long. Mondays and Tuesdays seem to be popular with everyone else in Munich so it looks like Wednesday will need to be our main day. There will be a few Thursdays at the beginning (and also to avoid the CL final!!) and then it'll be Wednesdays at 7:30 pm all the way. I will post the exact dates and times pretty soon but they've sent me the offer and so we'll need to be quick to confirm. It works out at about exactly 100 each IF we get 12 players. If we get less, it'll cost each of us a bit more. POST ON HERE OR SEND ME A PM TO CONFIRM YOUR PLACE AS SOON AS YOU CAN! You'll need to transfer the money to me by the end of April.
