OK so just organising the Sweep for all the girls and boys here at work with 5 yoyos a go and a 150 euro 1st place etc

Site used is dead easy for your easy to make kit, Sweepstake Sheets.

Anyway, i was wondering how we organise one for TT ? or is it basically impossible for here ?

Collection of moneys, random number generator etc ?

Of course not every horse gets from start to finish . . .

3 Lions
Last year a bunch of us were at The Arc, Hazza did a sweepstake.

Will German bookies take bets on this race? I always have a flutter on this one!
3 Lions
Yep they do. I went to a place on Leopoldstr last year. In fact it seems they show UK races every day.
skint
Will it be shown in The Arc this year?
3 Lions
I'm sure they will.
bluedave
Could be that we might still be there from Perdido's leaving do unsure.gif
Topsy
what time does it start on Saturday?
I like watching the geegees, it's fab.
Although sometimes I worry that they're being a bit cruel to the horses... unsure.gif

Seems to be a couple when last asked Bookies and betting shops in Munich
DJ_Jazzy_Guff
There's tons of them but I can't give you any addresses! There's a big one on Leopoldstr just next to that F1 cafe. There's another big one on the corner of Paul-Heyse straße / Bayer str. Hope that helps. Or just open a betandwin account and do it the easy way. Odds might be a bit crapper though.
Topsy
we went along to a race meet at Riem here in Munich last year, it was good fun, actually
we were saying only the other night that we should have another little outing when the weather picks up

I lost loads of money, though sad.gif

@bluedave

I wouldn´t discount Inca Trial at all. I think he has a chance if he stands up. This is much better than the last horse topic biggrin.gif

@ Vanessa M

Great to see a woman who knows horseracing but I reckon Cheltenham is the blue riband of National Hunt racing. Aintree is good though. You can always go online if you want to bet as long as you have a debit or credit card.
Hazza
Race will be on at The Arc.

Possible sweepstake too...
mightypies
If I remember correctly, Hedgehunter was scratched late last year. Was a monty with about a day to go, then for some reason - weight i imagine - scratched,

Can anyone shed any light on this?
topcat 1
Hedgehunter won the race last year
mightypies
SHit, sorry. had a few. please refer all responses of mine to your local tip.

@ Top Cat

Yes I do love racing...and am very excited for tomorrow- i think im best just putting the bet online. Ive heard good tips on Ebony Light- large outsider, but one of Ginger's horses so might have a little each way flutter.

@ Vanessa M

I really miss Teletext on Channel 4 cos there used to be some great tips. I have a bit of a fancy for Ross Comm, an Irish import, but Ginger Mc Cain always prepares them well for this race. Otherwise its a bit of a lottery but HedgeHunter will be hard to beat and he ran a blinder in the Gold Cup.
Vanessa_M
I have never been to a german betting shop before and really want to see how they compare to the ones in england so i am going to head down to the one in Leopoldstr. before i go out tonight... i'm always hesitant about backing the favourite on a race like the national- and its not like you can rely on channel 4 at the races because they always tip the favourite...like they did with beef or salmon on the cheltenham gold cup!
topcat 1
I never trust Channel 4 at the Races team but teletext on 4 have a racing service and the tips there are excellent, Stan Steer and Titan are two of the pages plus lots of background and inside info, stats and trends, so that you are totally confused. Beef or Salmon for some reason can only run well at Leopardstown, as soon as he goes out of Ireland he becomes a donkey. Didn´t stop me from backing him though biggrin.gif
