I have to look for exotic materials all the time. I always start looking for leads through the Thomas Register of European Manufacturers. If somebody manufactures it, it's in there.

Alternatively, you could buy 2kg worth of fishing weights and melt them down. That was my source for small amounts of lead when I had childhood projects...
