Hi !
We are in need to send a few boxes to France.
We already found out that DHL and UPS can do it for roughly 35Euro for 20kg.
Is there an alternative to these two ? Is such a service offered by the train or the bus companies
(like in Canada) ?
The longer and cheaper approach is prefered.
Would anyone here have some advise for us ?
thanks in advance !

This is a bit of a long shot, because I dont know how rural your destination is. But - When I drove to Düsseldorf I put an add on one of those car sharing sites (theres loads). Turns out there are people buzzing all over Europe and charging pittance for it. One guy called me and said I have a couple of boxes to go to Düsseldorf, heres 50 euros, give me a call when you get their. Easy money for me and it got there twice as fast. Check those sites out, there great. - Spamgoshi

Help I need some TT ideas, I have bought a house in France near Limouges in Magnac Bourg and need to get some furniture from here to there. It involves a load that would fit into a 3.2 Metre long Transit type Van and comprises of a dining table six chairs dismantled wardrobes and double bed, plus tools and loads of other bits and bobs.
The drive takes 11 hours (by car) and is 1100 km. I have checked out van hire and this would cost 600 Euro for 4 day hire 2,500 km, plus fuel and tolls. Any ideas I need to do this in about a months time.

Try international removal companies in the town where you're sending to/from. I did this on the off chance a few years ago when I moved to Germany and wanted a bed and a few other things sending. Most big companies were asking for 200 pounds, a local one in my home town in England wanted just 70 quid 'cos his driver was already coming to Düsseldorf...

Can anyone advise the names of some international removal companies. I have tried looking on the net and have contacted about 10 different companies but all only deal company to company and not with private clients. I am moving back to Dublin from Munich and want to move my furniture etc.
Thanks
Aoife
