hi everybody,

is there anybody who´s interested in archery and doing in Munich?
I´m looking for clubs where I can learn it from the begining, once or twice a week.
If there are people who are willing to give it a try like myself, I´d love to hear from them as well.

Please help if anybody knows anything about it.

cheers,
lapinu

Hey this is an old post but I wondering if there is anyone out there who is currently into archery?

My husband and I are. I'm currently on a break because I had to leave my bow behind in the US (moved here in November) and don't care for indoor shooting much anyway. My husband belongs to a club in Freising (part of TSV Jahn Freising iirc), but a friend of ours is at a club in Ismaning (probably the one linked by Crawlie, I suspect) and they're both nice. Ismaning has more indoor space, according to my husband.

What kind of archery are you interested in, by the way?

Well I used to use a compound bow when I was a kid, but more recently I was using...don't even know what it was called, it was my friends and we would shoot bails of hay in the field...it was about as tall as I am and all wood, I think horse hair strung,(really beautiful) can't remember...I really don't know much about the sport, I just always enjoyed doing it.

I don't want to kill things...just shoot targets.

hmmm... I believe those are called Recurve bows or Long bows. Real bows, not for wuss's who use Compound bows : )
Exile
If it was made from a single piece of wood it was almost certainly a longbow, recurves are generally made from composite materials or synthetics that can be moulded.
Sari
It was real wood, it was beautiful...she would unstring it after we were done and store it in a tube thing.
Mook32
That would probably be a longbow. A recurve would probably not be that straight when it is unstrung.
Exile
An unstrung recurve bends away from you if your holding it. An unstrung longbow is straight but tapers at the ends.
Sari
ok it was a long bow then...

Doesn't matter now, I'll probly never see her again

I might be up for this, any one have ideas of cost?
Sari
Maybe we could start a group?

Would definitely be interested in being a TT archer.

Count me in. Never tried it but I could spare an evening or two a week.
