Egg and bacon bread-pudding

This one's dead easy to make and an interesting change from just throwing together a standard sandwich.

Ingredients
Slices of bread
Rashers of bacon
Eggs
Milk
Clove of Garlic
Grated cheddar (I used Emmentaler, but chedder'd be better if you've got it)
Salt, Pepper & mixed herbs

Technique
1. Fry up the bacon until crispy
2. Butter the bread and make up sandwiches with the bacon
3. Cut into triangles and place in baking dish as shown in Pic #1
4. Mix eggs, milk & garlic together, add seasoning as desired and pour over sandwiches as shown in Pic #2
5. Turn oven on to 180 celcius and set baking dish aside while oven heats up.
6. Once heat is up (about 10 minutes on my cooker) the mixture will have soaked nicely into the bread, sprinkle grated cheese over the top as shown in Pic #3.
7. Put in oven and leave for about 35 minutes.
8. Remove dish which should look like Pic #4

I omitted the quantities above as it depends on how many you are cooking for. Assuming you make up two sandwiches (i.e. 4 slices of bread), you could use about 6 or 7 of the thin slices of bacon (3 or 4 if you've got proper bacon from UK or Ireland), 2 eggs, 1 clove of garlic, about 300ml of milk and about 50g of cheese.

Of course, I meant to say "proper rashers". I've got no problems at all with the bacon here per se.
