fifa rankings - not always to reliable but fairly accurate, americans gave up after the second - were far to stagnant, it was only a friendly and many teams use them to experiment and test fringe players (dont know if the Americans did that as i dont know the team they usually use. germans showed how poor they were for long periods although they did pull the yanks all over the park on many occassions

Actually, the FM said that they didn't have WMD's. He did say that they had some chemical stuff and weapons left over after the 1st Gulf War and he may have played that up for more cash and prizes like being free right now while his buds are in jail.


Funny how the news conveniently leaves out the part where the chemical stuff was old as dirt and when the US found it, it was no longer active and the shell casings had rusted through. As this stuff had been left over from the '80s, it is also not clear if anyone in Saddam's command actually knew where it was buried. As for wanting a nuclear bomb, well every country on earth wants one because that seems to be the only way to get respect. There again however, his info refuted the CIA's estimate. Now, Bush knew this info and what did he present to the American people? Now tell me again how intel wasn't manipulated.
