Right then,

Been busy cleaning the winter crap out of my garage all day.

One word has stuck in my head all through:

"Hammermässig"

Won't bloody get out.

I hold Dieter Bohlen responsible who uses it every song on Deutschland sucht den Superstar

Also I think I will start to use "Hammer" and Geil" all day when I spoeak German (rarely)

There.

Sorry Jeremy, but if you find yourself imitating Dieter Bohlen it's time to burn your TV and lay off fermeted muesli.

You can sound cool by adding "Luder" (slut) to any random word when describing a woman, i.e. Boxenluder for a woman who hangs around the pit at car races or Kassenluder for the sexy chick at the supermarket check out etc. At least according to Bild-Zeitung.

Well if you have squeaky Dieter as a mentor and Bild as your phrasebook nothing, and I repeat nothing can stand in the way of voll ober-turbo max geil cool sein, du.

I thought that Germans think that it is cool to speak English. So when speaking German drop in a few English words.

Like "checker", which a lot teenagers seem to think is dead cool?

"cool"

For how long has this been part of the German language? You almost never hear "toll" any longer, everything is "cool". I hear German parents and their kids talking ad nauseum about what is "cool". A kid thought it was "cool" yesterday that I am Californian and not an Englander (LOL!!).

cool.
