Cool! This is a much better time for a new year, I think. January's long nights and dirty snow never seemed appropriate to the whole new-beginning thing. Happy New Year!

I find it funny that the Persian new year starts not at midnight, but at 9:55 and 35 seconds Tehran time:

actually the time changes every year and it is the local time of every country. The reason i think is because of leap year calculation.

Doing my best for a direct translation :
If someday you go on a trip,
Leave me with no notice.
I will be captivated by my dreams,
Will be alone again.
I ask night to stay with me,
Ask the breeze to sing till morning.
Sing about the land of my love,
Why do you go and leave me alone?
If you forget me,
Leave my hug.
I will become a seabird,
Released in claws of wave.
I ask my heart to stay quiet,
Leave so everybody knows.
I go to that land,
In which you won’t leave me alone.
If one day your name,
Clings in my ear.
Your grief comes,
To suffer me again.
I ask my heart not to care,
Let your sickness cure.
Penetrate into my soul ,
So that i sing again for you (2 times).
If you want to love each other once again,
Like old days sleep and wake up together.
Your heart should get the color of love,
Sing love song again.
Get the color of that land,
In which you don’t leave me alone.
If you want to stay with me,
Till we are young.
Till skin is attached to bone,
Let’s not leave my heart alone.
Two times:
If one day your name,
Clings in my ear.
Your grief comes,
To suffer me again.
I ask my heart not to care,
Let your sickness cure.
Penetrate into my soul ,
So that i can sing again for you (2 times).
