Translation for "Please find attached..."

Here is the problem.

I wrote some invoices with : 'Please find attached the invoice for the month of February'

This little part of "please 'find' confused my tax advisor. He called me and asked where he could actually find it.

How do I explain to him that this is actually the way it is written?

Easy - tell him it in German: "Unsere Rechnung finden Sie in der Anlage." - the phrase is similar and equivalent

Or in German they say: anbei die gewünschte Dokumente, or alternatively Die gewünschte Dokumente wurden beigefügt.
(sorry for any grammatical mistakes!)

"in der Anlage" is fine, I personally use "anbei" coz it's more concise.

When you think about it "please find", although the correct English phrase, is pretty daft. Like it's going to be a really difficult search. I wonder where to look...

I always use either "anbei die gewünshte Blah Blah" or "im Anhang befinden Sie blah blah" when using e-mail.

i have an e-mail folder with standard formulations in german. i really hate "mit freundlichen Grüßen" though. but tja, when in rome...

But the point was that the German chap didn't understood the use of "Please find..." when a similar phrase is equally acceptable (although maybe not the best way to say it) in German

He got it now. He went for the 'anbei' as the most satisfying solution
