Information and opportunities in Berlin

Hi All,
Said goodbye to my MDC and Toytown cohorts back in November to head home and get a "real" job in marketing/advertising. I'm in an agency right now in Boston, working as a Marketing Manager and gaining really great experience. The only problem: It's not international and I have "Heimweh" for Munich/Europe like you wouldn't believe! Plus I miss the "Genau Phenomenon". Genau? Genau. (see past postings...i was told it was funny)

Throwing this out there to see if there's anyone at an advertising/marketing agency that does international work. I'm not hunting for a job right now- have to finish what I started over here...which means I'd be available Feb of 2005...but I'm dying to know what the possibilities are.

I'm looking into either worldwide agencies (J Walter Thompson, Grey Worldwide, Young and Rubicam, Ogilvy, Arnold Worldwide...etc.) or Fortune 500's/global companies with strong marketing departments.

I'd love to hear about your previous exprience if you've worked in this enviornment or if you can recommend certain agencies over others.

About me: BA in German Studies, 2002 (included one year abroad)...14 months at Bosch Siemens in Sales Planning/Marketing...and now actual agency experience working on accounts for Financial clients. Fluent in German and English, adapt easily to the corporate personality or the agency craziness...looking to make an informed decision and a move to Vienna, back to Munich, Hamburg, Zurich, Berlin...I'd even entertain thoughts of Frankfurt.

Thanks for reading the ramblings, go have a Helles in my memory and enjoy! You all have got it goood!

Ive been on the client side of a couple of agencies. Happy to talk about observations from that perspective... I dont have any direct leads but here's the gossip:

TMP Worldwide http://www.tmp.com, better known for their various monster.com portals. Monster.de is partnering with American Chamber of Commerce to create a job databank, specializing in German-American jobs. http://www.amcham.de/index.php?id=329#603

I'm in Boston frequently - actually thinking of going to the German meetup this week -mail me if you want to discuss further.
