Hi,
I currently have a spare TV (unexpetedly) and was thinking of selling it. However, as it happens my sis is in need of one so I'm just contemplating if it'd be worth posting her my one (she lives in London). I have no idea of the weight of it but it's got a 21 inch screen and is about 2 years old (not a flatscreen BTW!). I checked the DHL and Post Websites and they gave rough estimates of about €30 IF it weighs less than 20kg (dunno if the TV does but could be doubtful, oder?). Anyone got any experience of stuff like this or know of a good company to go through? Many thanks in advance,

Usually they won't insure anything glass through a parcel delivery service - and you should probably check that the TV will be compatible. I think there are lots of threads indicating that older UK TVs will not work here, but I don't recall the details.

The PAL system here against UK means she would get a picture but no sound

Firstly a 32kg "Paket" to UK will cost €32, add another €19 if sent by "Air".
Secondly, the PAL systems are different!
When I moved here I brought everything with me and the TV would not tune into anything here.
I had to get a complete new unit installed inside (something like replacing the complete motherboard on a PC).
OK, so it was cheaper than a new TV, but my advice is get them to buy a second hand one in the UK. That would be cheaper and most certainly less hassle.

Sorry, in #5 change 32kg to 10-20kg!
(32 is the price €32).
