A man is going to freeze himself in front of the
Deutsches Museum Thursday evening. He plans to stay in the ice for 65 hours.
Can we read about this somewhere?

His name is Vincent Vega. He is a magician and of course he wants to be in the Guinness book. He gets something to drink through little pipes. A bigger problem is going to be to use the toilet. He is going to wear some diapers. Actually I don`t know how much fun it will be to watch...

Vincent Vega - isn't that John Travolta's character in Pulp Fiction?

David Blaine creeps me out.
David Copperfield on the other hand... now that's a magician.
And this new dude's name is Vincent Vega? Did he yank that name from Pulp Fiction??

Why does this bloke call himself a magician? He's not a fucking magician. If anything, it's a feat of endurance. What happened to the old days where magicians actually performed magic tricks like pulling rabbits out of hats or being seemingly skewered by a dozen swords while being locked in a box, or being cut in half by their beautiful assistant??
There's nothing at all magical about getting in between 2 big blocks of ice, getting them sealed and then waiting there for 65 hours before getting someone to break open the ice and the 'magician' to take a quick bow before getting whisked off to the local hospital. It's like David Blain, who's idea of magic was to 'magically' walk into a glass box which was then 'magically' suspended over the Thames by a 'magical' crane. WHERE'S THE FUCKING MAGIC???
If he really was a magician, he'd start off standing next to the block of ice and invite unwitting members of the audience to check the ice for anything suspicious. Then he'd cover himself and the block with a large sheet, which when removed would reveal him suddenly trapped in the ice block. After his 65 hours, his lovely assistant (all magicians should have one) would cover the ice with a sheet for several seconds and upon removing it, he would have disappeared to gasps of the crowd - only for an old man standing in the front row to remove his coat, his hat and his false beard to reveal that he is in fact Vincent Vega.
Now that would be magic...
Rant over

Museum Lichtspiele tonight, may drop by to see. Where in the Deutsche Museum exactly?
Oh wait, it's Travolta. Now I understand, that's guy been suicidal ever since he did that Battlefield Earth movie. Dreadlocks, man, dreadlocks!!! arrrrgghhh... is he wearing the dreadlocks for the ice? Or is he gonna be in his Pulp fiction persona - with shorts and untanned legs and all?

I don't know about this guy, haven't really seen anything he does, but the fact that he attempts things like this, doesn't make him any less of a magician (silly you!)...David Blaine, for example, is an amazing magician, if you've seen any of his street magic you would see that. He's an incredible showman and is obviously very skilled at performing magic tricks. He just does these other stunts in addition, which make him no less of a magician as playing ping pong would make a monkey less of a monkey (GOOD ANALOGY, I KNOW). I'm pretty sure that Blaine and Vega never claimed these acts were "magic", despite that they are in fact magicians. These stunts just demonstrate a different amazing side of him, which includes his determination and ability to control mind over body. And clearly some people are entertained by these types of things. I prefer Blaine's street magic but he really does amaze me with how he pushes himself to the absolute limits...craaazzzzyyy man.
And to the idiot who criticized this guy because he's doing this while people are actually freezing..are you stupid?? I'm sorry but that's ridonkulous. By you NOT putting yourself into a block of ice, are you helping the homeless? No...and by him putting himself into a block of ice, is he hurting anyone? No...therefore your point makes no sense. OMG don't eat ever again because there are people starving!!! Don't ever read again because some people can't!!! Don't ever walk again because some people have no legs!! Some people are stuuuuuuupiiiiiiiiid!!! JUST KIDDING! You're not dumb you're just ignorant. JUST KIDDING!!! You're cute.

After watching his street magic several times, it no longer seemed magical as it was easy to work out what he was doing. To me, an amazing magician is someone who can do tricks that you cannot for the life of you work out how they possibly do it. I just don't get that with DB.
