Sky footy down the pub in Munich

Hi!
Has anyone ever seen a SKY football game in a pub here before? I know that they exist, but seem to have missed out on where. Anyone got any recommendations?

I was in Mulligans (Schwabing) last Friday ( 9/01) and saw a notice board advertising the Spurs V Everton match. It was my first visit to Mulligans so I can't say whether this is a regular thing!

Murphys has a tendancy to show a number of events...incl. football!

Champions sports bar at the Marriott has live footie on and all the Irish pubs tend to have it.

In my view the best pub for the rugger is the Outland. Good mix of nationalities and a good laugh.

We went into Outland to watch a rugby game a couple of months ago. Asked the barman if they were showing the match. His reply was "what do I care?". Then asked another bloke who turned out to be the owner. His response was, "yeah, but will you put a sign outside saying that because I'm fed up telling people".

Nice way to welcome punters!

Anyway, the story ended with a pint being intentionally knocked over (not by me I might add), and us getting unceremoniously turfed out the door with the owner mouthing off loads of abuse.

Very professional behaviour.

So, I went to Murphys on Wednesday in the end and sadly watched the mighty Rovers lose in the semi-finals of the Worthington Cup to Man Utd. Gutted. It was a good evening other than that though. I particulary enjoyed my bacon egg and sausage rolls, even though the portion was soooo huge that I didn't stand a chance of finishing it all. Most interesting discussion of the evening was with a barmaid from Yorkshire who was convinced that Manchester was part of her beloved county. Being a Lancastrian myself, I was having none of that, and a heated discussion ensued, in which I spent a good 20 mins trying to convince her that Manchester is indeed in Greater Manchester and before that was in Lancashire. She was having none of it I'm afraid...

Anyway, what I also noticed whilst there is that Murphys is starting a pub quiz on Monday nights at 8:30, with German and English questions... I wouldn't be able to make it very often since I work, but maybe it's interesting for some of you...
