Hello All,

Iam looking for a make-up kit for a teenager which preferably a compact one with everything i.e. different shades of eye-shadows, lipstick, masacara, blusher, eye and lip liner and such kind of things.

I've so far been to Kaufhof and they dont have want am looking for. Could somebody out there please tell me where I can get this kit by latest Tuesday afternoon coz its a gift for my daughter back home. Thank you all and I do appreciate your assistance!

Try Art Deco shop on Leopoldstr or Müller (the big one on Tal might have a bigger selection) the drug stores, I also think Yves Rocher at Marienpl (beside Cafe Richart) also carries sometimes things like that.
Topsy
Yeah, I would try Müller on Tal or one of the Douglas stores.
Quite surprised they don't have anything like that in Kaufhof, though - did you look downstairs in the big Marienplatz store?
Maybe Hertie (the ground floor bit at Hauptbahnhof) would have something suitable?

@Carm - I'll definitely check the Art Deco shop and Müller (does it mean any Müller shop?) though truly speaking am not looking for anything expensive coz this gift is bound to be discarded in a few weeks or even a month!
@Topsy - I've been to the Kaufhof at Marienplatz downstairs and they dont have the compact ones whereby one can take it with them wherever! get what I mean :-), I'll check on Hertie and Yves Rocher too.

It has really been a very frustrating and tiring week for me looking for this kind of gift really and she's specifically asked for one Iam obliged to get her one. As for the drug stores do you mean the Apotheke?
thanks a million you two, I'll still appreciate more choices though.
Topsy
go to Isartor, walk up towards Marienplatz, and you'll see the big Müller there on the right-hand side

or if you're flying home with it, maybe you can pick something up at the airport. It probably won't be cheap, but if she'll be discarding it in a few weeks, then you can always pick one you like and bring it back here with you biggrin.gif

Drugstores doesn't mean Apotheke. It means dm, müller or Schlecker or Rossmann, though haven't seen any compact make-up cases in them. Good luck! Are there no beauticians on TT? They'd know.
Caesar
I would try Douglas. I always find what I need from Douglas. Love that store.

thx Nicky for the info.

@Caesar - went to Douglas and never found what I was exactly looking for. So, on Monday and Tuesday I have a field day of visiting Hertie, Müller, Yves Rocher and Art Deco hopefully I'll find what am looking for in one of these places.

Thanx alot guys. more choices pliz, time is not on my side really. Will update you guys on Tuesday nite!

Cheers

If cheap, disposable and tons of colours are what you want, try Woolworth. Seriously.

Eureka!!! I finally found what I was looking for and thanx to Carm and Topsy :-)) thanx a million you really made my day today. I wish I'd have posted this thread earlier than hoping from shop to shop. I bought it at Müller on Tal. Though I strolled and had a look at Hertie too and they have a variety of these kits. So next time I have such an order I'll definitely know where to go!
Thanx to you all for your suggestions.
Cheers

I found some quite nice ones in Kaufhof, Karlsplatz, around Xmas time. They were pretty big and not expensive... dunno if they still have 'em...
