hello darlings! Eleminowpea, your wool looks absolutely yummy! The reddi-whip cozy was a hit with the chicks here, but I'm not sure the bride really appreciated it. Some people... Hey, do you think I could get away with posting a picture of it in action?

TalksToStrangers, hehe, no I don't think that it's a good idea to post that picture here.

You know, one of these days, I'm just going to tell Editor Bob to delete this thread, since it seems that nobody takes any interest in PUTTING ANY CONTENT in it apart from me, let alone that NOBODY EVER SIGNS UP any more (Kala's the exception today)...
Yes, I'm feeling quite hurt on those accounts.
That said...

Vaterstetten was fun.
And entertaining the thread all by myself is super-fun, too. NOT!

I came to Stitch and Bitch a few times in the spring, and it was a very nice group. Sundays just always happen to be challenging, but I'm hoping to make it back in the winter.
In the meanwhile, does anyone know whether any of the yarn shops here in Munich have a similar weekly event, perhaps during the week? I have this crazy notion that it may help me improve my German.

I hurt my back badly this summer and had to not spend hours sitting up. (boy, have I been bored!!!) I've got lots of projects on, including the last ones I was working on, and I'm hoping to finally make it this week. I even signed up!

Yes Vaterstetten was a lot of fun. Sorry - i don't check this thread very often so didn't write earlier! To make up for it, here's a quick snap of my new yarn i got there from Wollmeise at Vaterstetten:
Handgefärbte Merino-Lammdochtwolle, 100% Schnurwolle, 23,5 Microns, 100g
Colour: Raku-Regenbogen
The shawl above is gorgeous - nice work. My new wool is going to be made into a good ol' trusty scarf till i can advance to more intimidating and fancy looking things... like shawls!

I have a technical question: can somebody from the group actually coach me?
I have all the gear, made about 2 scarfs in my whole life, but would like to try to get better. The pictures I have seen posted are from another league that's for sure!!
Would like to join here and there when not traveling... just would need some help as I don't even remember how to start a scarf! ;-)

Andy 14, just pop around to the group when you're in town on Sundays. We'll help you out starting a scarf!

I DID IT, I DID IT, I DID IT!
My first finished (as in, off the needles, finished) project in over a decade. I think it's been 11 years. It's the scarf that's my husband's cristmas present, and I'd do a photo if my husband didn't have the camera with him.
*happy happy dancing*
(yes, I finished it, and sat down here to type about it.)

Okay, I know that I'm signed up for this weekend, but I'm not sure if I'll come. I'm having an RSI flare-up in my right hand and can't do any knitting, crochet, or handsewing for the duration. I may drop by for just a little while to chat, but I may find it too depressing a thought.

Grrrrrr...I won't be there this Sunday. The colleague who's supposed to be taking over my shift can't make it. So I'll have to work. You guys have fun. But please tell me if none of you will turn up so that I can tell Cafe Mondial.

Hi everyone, this is caruba (the red-haired one

If you want them, just shoot me a private message or contact me on ravelry with your email address, and I shall email them to you! It's only 3 or so, so don't worry about your inbox!
