Diocalm - diarrhoea treatments

Has anyone seen Diocalm in Munich or recommend a good alternative ?

or go to any pharmacy and ask them to look for Diocalm in their big red book, find the active ingredient, and see what German medicine has the same thing.

Diocalm is the basically Loperamide Hydrochloride, in it's generic form you can buy the same thing in the German apotheke as "Loperamid hydrochlorid", made by a bunch of different manufacturers. In it's strongest form without a prescription it is known as "Loperamid Akut". See here for a bunch of over-the-counter preparations available in Germany...

Immodium and Diocalm have the same active ingredient (which is what YorkshireLad6 is writing about). Don't forget to take rehydration salts (either homemade - google it - or store-bought such as Dioralyte) too!
