Splendidly isolated mother of 6 month old baby would like to meet others in similar predicament, preferably within pushchair pushing distance (I would like to avoid an hour journey each way on public transport) for occasional mug of tea (can provide it herbal...) and chat.

Any takers?

I know two mothers who live in Arabella Park. One has a 10 month old boy and one with a 9 month old girl. They were thinking of starting up a playgroup later last year, and have posted in the Family life section, but got no reply.

I am new at Towtown Munich and would like to introduce myself: My husband and I (both Austrians) lived in Washington, D.C. from 1992 to December 2001, then moved to Dublin (until September 2005) and - after having my son Liam in October 2005 – we moved to Munich. We also have a Golden Retriever – a “Girl from West Virginia.

We live in Munich Daglfing (Bogenhausen) and I sometimes walk to the Zamilla Park or the Padding Zoo in Daglfing. I miss my American and Irish friends and would very much like to meet YOU. Does anyone live near by and have a child of similar age (10 months)? Hope to hear from you.

xoxo

Hello,

My name is Laure, I'm 36 years old and have a three month old daughter called Ambre. I'm French and my husband is British. We arrived in Bogenhausen (very close to Arabellapark) two weeks before my daughter's birth ! I'm a French and Spanish teacher but I am not going to work for a while : still need to learn German !

I'm looking forward to hearing from you too !

Hi!

My name is Maria, I'm 35yrs old, and have just moved to Munich with my husband. We live close to the Bogenhausen area, although more towards central Munich. We are expecting our first child - I am due in july. I am very excited about it all although I have lots of questions. Unfortunately, I do not speak any german (yet!) and I would love to meet mothers willing to share their experiences, both with Munich city structures and general birth and parenting.

I am seeing Dr. Kraus, in Bogenhausen, tomorrow for the first time. Does anyone happen to know him?

I will be looking forward to hearing from you

Good morning Maria and pleased to meet you ! I'd be happy to answer all your questions about childbirth in Munich. I didn't have the same doctor though and my three month old baby girl was born in Geisenhofer Klinik (near the Englischer Garten) which I was happy with. PM me if you would like to meet up ! Sorry I have to go as she is hungry !

Have a nice day

Hi All

My name is Emma, i'm British, 30 and have a 3 month old baby called Chloe. well. it's a long story.. she's actually 6 months old now but was 3 months premature so we have to correct her age .. so she's 3 months (corrected). I've been in Munich since last March. We live on the border between Bogenhausen and Oberfoehring.

I had major complications in my pregnancy. If it's any use to anyone, I can really recommend a doctor called Dr. Roemisch at the Fuenfe Hoefe www.f5h.de in central Munich. He speaks fluent English. Also I had my baby at the Dritter Orden Hospital in Nymphenburg which has a brilliant Intensive Care facility which in our case was crucial. Also a lot of the midwives and doctors speak English there.

If any of you want to meet up for a nice walk in the English garden or St. Emmeram just PM or respond to this post.

CHeers, and good luck with your pregnancies and little ones!
