well I pretty much agree with the sentiment jayhay, and I think I do my bit with regard to sticking up for the odd newbie or not so newbie (whilst also doing my bit on the sarcasm front sometimes).
The only thing I find a little strange is that you can be sick and tired etc...

Firstly, I'm sick and tired of observing the daily race to pick holes in people's threads. Spelling. Bad English. Obvious puns. Yes, sarcasm is funny, but I know there a lot of potential new users who have felt overwhelmed (and unwelcome) by this and just given up. For me, Toytown should thrive on a constant influx of new users - and not just those with masses of time on their hands, or with the knack or writing witty put-downs.
Secondly, as time goes and the number of threads increases, more and more of the questions that newbies tend to ask have already been answered somewhere. Pretty much every first thread receives the same old "use the search" responses. But I sometimes wonder if this is the point? Often it is new users who dare to reply to these "obvious questions" and in the process two people are getting involved in TT and making contact with each other. Even if no "new knowledge" has been generated, so what?
and then exonerate the 'current nr.1 poster' from the above! (in fact I think he'll be pretty disappointed if he finds out he isn't ranked as one of the top 'witty put downers'

). I find his approach basically ok (ie I am not being critical of the posting style) and even quite a good foil to some of us others, but as I say, how his style can be excluded from the above is a bit beyond me.
unless you are in his Clique of course
