Thunderstorm and blizzard across Munich

Squirrels hibernate. "My" squirrel did drop by again this morning to be fed, though. S/he seems to wake up every other day only at the moment. When we had -9° a couple of weeks ago s/he would only show up twice a week at most. Shame, has become all thin but has beautiful tufts on the ears. Went running earlier today in the English Garden. It was difficult but beautiful. I really don't mind the snow!

Actually, what you are seeing is the makings of a banquet.
Rabbits have the charming habit of re-eating their own shit. So what they are probably doing is preparing for the evenings party where they all get together, mingle a bit and catch up and then feast on each others pre-digested crap.

I was walking to the SBahn from my flat on Friday night, trudging through deep snow, shivering in the heavy snowfall, when suddenly I heard thunder. Now I know from this thread that I'm not imagining it, but is this normal? Has anyone got an explanation how that type of weather works? Never experienced it before!

Impossible...the thunder beings are hibernating at this time of the year...
