Running - Munich race calendar 2006

Does anyone know of a good internet listing of organized runs in Bavaria? I'm looking for a nice 10km or so at the end of July somewhere near Munich or in the Allgaeu.

I know of the http://www.lauftreff.de site and saw info on a Volksfestlauf in Allershausen and the Muenchnerauer Abendlauf in Landshut. Does anyone have any experience with either of those?

there is the westparklauf 10k 12th march
munich fruehjahrslauf 20k 26 march

Here's a list of some races coming up in the next few months:

March 12 - 7th Westparklauf 5k/10k
March 26 - 2nd Frühjahrslauf (Olympiapark) 10k/HM

April 8 - 12th Lohhofer Osterlauf 10k
April 9 - 20th Forstenrieder Volklauf 5k/10k/HM

May 1 - 17th Dachauer Frühjahrslauf 4k/10k

August 12 - 19th Dachauer Strassenlauf 10k

I got all these from leaflets picked up at a previous race - post if you want more details about any of them.

Thanks for that Hippo. My problem now is that I can't figure out how to register for the Fruehjahrslauf at the end of March. The website for Olympic park shows that they are holding it and where it starts but not how to sign up.

Any help?

Sorry for the tardiness in replying. The frühjahrslauf seems to have renamed itself the 2nd Halbmarathon München, but there will also be a 10K, as well as a 'marathon test' which I don't quite understand...

Their website is here and has full details, but in summary, it's on the 26th of March, in the Olympiapark with both races starting at 11.

I'm almost certainly going to enter for the 10K, anyone else?

the marathon test looks like a continuation of the half... just keep running around in circles. Sorry, but doing a half, much less a full around a 5km track sound spretty brain numbing. Anyone here run this half previously?

I should be doing this on Sunday, the 10K at least. I'll register in the morning of the run (assuming I remember the clocks changing ). Anyone else going to be there?

OK. I slacked off and did the 10k instead. Weather wasn't that bad...Anybody else do the run (besides Hippo)?

friend and i did the half. hard work as hardly any training and first long run sind october really but we finished :-)
