Closing HVB bank account - money transfer

Hi,

I know someone else posted this topic a few weeks ago but I did several searches and can't find it when I actually need it!

I closed a Hypovereinsbank account last week and they were supposed to transfer the money to a PostBank account. After a week, it's still not there.

I remember some comments from the other post along the lines of "just call the bank". Yes, I can do this but I don't really want to bother if it is going to come through in a couple more days. I've dealt with them before and they normally have to ask 3 people before they can come up with an answer. So, if you are the person who posted before, did the money end up coming through?

Call them anyway. I had some toubles with money transfers as well and when i called them it was on my account by miracle!

The money showed up in my account today, so in the end it took about 10 days without me calling, FYI.

fuckers..they obviously have not changed...with me it took 2 weeks! that was about 5 years ago. each time I called they said my account closure was being processed. the last time I called them they said 'oh another week at least' so the next day I got a German colleague to call threatening we would involve my 'lawyer' if the money was not in my new account the next day. they crapped themselves at this and (hey preston!) the money was there the next day.

So next time, take your money our first and than close the account.
