Germany's next top model is back for 2008.

Is it just me, or does Gina-Lisa look like a gogo dancer/porn star? Her hair extentions are terrible! Last night Heidi mentioned that they cant wait to make her over, I honestly think that they will make her over and boot her off. She is just too "hooker" for the show.

As for Sandra. She scares me. Looks too much like a boy.

Does anyone have a favourite yet?

Ah but did you see Gina-Lisa with the "short" hair on the set card? Take off the sunbed tan, the nasty nails and cut the hair, you've got a very commercial model who could certainly get a lot of editorial work for either the sports lifestyle mags or indeed the beachy stuff that mags like French Elle (Gilles Bensimon shoots) like to push.
She's a Emma Sjoberg type. While she won't win, she could well have a longer career than many others on the show, especially with that character. She's also pure TV Gold - like Senna on Popstars.
There's certain generic types on the show, quite a few have that Sports Illustrated look (especially Racquel), not a surprise if Frau Klum is picking though.

I liked Wanda with the chainsaw and the little doll-faced one with the red-brown long hair and a fringe - Aisha.
And no I can't believe I sat and watched it.

German television is dumb. It's just remakes of American and British series translated into the local language. If you want intelligent television go watch The West Wing.

And yes, if you believe everything that you read, you'll say television is by definition dumb.

This bunch of girls would suggest the number of pretty girls in Germany is decreasing. They are all terrrrrrible. I see nicer girls walking down the street every day.

But have you seen the bunch on America's next top model? They are all terrible looking and incredibly bitchy.

Yes, German TV is terrible, however, I am from Australia - the land of 5 channels. AND Tasmania only has 4!

I clicked on the link and went to Video Overview and then Episodes, but the videos do not play on my computer. It's probably blocked because I am in the office and using the computer computer which blocks a lot of websites. I can only scroll through the pictures one by one, and I stopped at Picture 5 because I can't really follow it.

Gina Lisa makes me think of German White Trash, Gisele, well, maybe she will be gone next week, she is certainly not worth the effort they (Heidi and crew) are making for her. She is not that attractive.

Since she's the one everybody loves to hate I bet they'll drag her along for a couple more episodes. Actually she's pretty good looking (in a slightly drug-addict kind of way) - as long as she manages not to whine, whinge and cry.

Giselle is the most annoying thing ever. I got really annoyed when Payman (sp) gave her sympathy. grr. She was so close to going last night, but she gets lots of jobs... hmmm. She'll be gone in the next 3 weeks.

My favourite Giselle quote... "ich bin kein Schauspielerin".

I like all the other girl, don't have a favorite, so don't really care who wins- but know I don't like Giselle.

I really enjoyed watching the vertical catwalk down the side of a ten storey building last week - ludicrous hillarious stuff - I bet the poor girls didn't expect that when they signed up.

Cannot believe how much I've been sucked into this show as well (telling hubby that I'm watching it purely to improve my German, of course) Am glued to the telly every Thursday - cannot even be tempted to go to dinner in case I miss it (and I normally HATE reality TV programmes!!!)
Gisele is probably the one everyone loves to hate at the moment - I have to say, I detect homicidal impulses within myself when she starts whining about anything and everything. As far as the diva attitude goes, she wins hands down - pity she doesn't have the looks to go with it. But it pains me to admit it, she is damn photogenic.

I like Sarah, but bless, she looks like she's getting ready to bulldoze something when she charges down the catwalks. Not much hope there, I'm afraid.

My vote goes to Jennifer or Wanda!

I detect a new drinking game in the making: every time Giselle cries, you have to slug your beer / take a shot.

I'm unimpressed with the whole lot, really. The only one with a hint of personality was Gina-Lisa (plus I lurved her new short 'do and her Eurotrashy look) and when she left the show got a lot less interesting. If forced to pick I'd go with Raquel or Wanda.

I got really annoyed at peyton (sp) last night when Sarah told him not to be a twat. Grr! I don't like any of the judges. Heidi is OK, she keeps it cool... but the others... especially the guy with the stupid french accent... the way he pouts all the time gets on my cakes!

Giselle won't win... well, I hope not.

its getting down to the wire, Raquel is gone this week, darn, she was cute, but, well, the others were better.

Will be interesting next week with the training from Dita Von Teese.

Looking forward to that but otherwise I'm getting really tired of this show . And what about that "you got to agree on who's not going to attend the next casting - but whoever volunteers to stay behind is in trouble" bullshit. What did they expect the girls to do - kill each other over it?

I say Wanda will win. Jenny and possibly Janina are the only other ones who stand a realistic chance, but my guess is that they'll go for a dark-haired one this time, and Wanda is definitely more model material than Janina. So my prediction for the final show: Wanda, Jenny and Janina. The next one to go will be Christina, then Carolin (or possibly the other way round, seeing as Heidi seems to really like Christina for some reason). If they're smart, they'll hang on to Gisele until just before the end - I bet loads of people watch the show just to laugh at her ridiculous behaviour.

I read on a German magazine that Janina's the hot favourite. Can't understand the rest of the article as to why it is so.

I'm sure I saw her in a commercial for C&A last week. Isn't it just the winner that gets the C&A contract?


They seem to be deliberately excluding her. When she returned with her photo last week, the others simply ignored her. No fake congratulations or crocodile tears for her!

Shot at Love was pure brilliance. Apparently there's a season 2 in the making as Season 1's pick didn't work out (surprise, surprise).
