What did the judges ask Fiona in yesterday's episode that led to Mandy and Hana appearing before them for an explanation (or so I thought)?

I had to ask my boyfriend what was said. He said that Manda and Hanna were saying that Fiona doesn't want to 'do it' any more - the do it part, I guess, means that she's got no desire left. I think Fiona was saying to Heidi etc that the other girls were talking about here and then they asked who? I think it is funny that they instantly thought of Hanna (that girl is a real bitch).

But, even funnier was that none of the girls congratulated Fiona when she came back with her picture (made it to the next round), but when Hanna came back with hers, the camera caught a glimpse of Fiona's reaction (total disgust) and all the other girls congratulated her. Fiona is not well liked but I think Hanna is only one step behind her.

But what started it? I mean, why would judges/Heidi ask "so tell us, who have been talking about you?"...

Coz that girls a real piece of work and 'casually' dropped it into conversation...they asked her 'Why should you stay?' and she said, 'because I really want to be here...unlike some of the others...hint!hint!' BIATCH!

Go Anni!! Didn't like her in the beginning but she finally got smarter and learned to keep her mouth shut and enjoy the ride.

No, no, you got that wrong. Fiona was asked what she had that the others didn't, and she bitchly says that she has the will and determination, whereas others are saying they're tired and want to go home. Heidi then pressed her to name names (instigating, imo) and she did - naming Mandy and Hanna. Naturally, the others, when told, where not amused. Instigated bitch fest for your viewing pleasure.

It was really way too obvious the way Heidi played Fiona. Everyone could see that Fiona is one ambitious bitch who was quite ready to climb to the top over the corpses of her rivals. Heidi knew it and played her like a violin, getting her to out herself in front of rolling cameras. The other girls will never forgive her and it's going to be fun watching how nasty this may get. Ah, the drama!

Why is the Ginger girl still there? In fact, how the hell did she make it past the initial viewing?

Because Heidi knows that if you want to get ahead, you have to step over a few bodies to do so. Like Heidi got to be as good as she is by being sweet and nice to everyone? Granted, she has "something", but I'm sure that wasn't all.

BTW, I remember Fiona talking shite about some girls early on. Those got booted.

Doesn't change the fact that she's a nasty bitch with NO talent (ok forget talent...she dont look good!) at all...she's 18 too and she has a 30 year olds body...rotten...she's only in there because the producers are hoping for some contoversy late on in a boring show...bet she stays til the end too (last 3 like)

HEY! I love Barbara, I think she's absolutely stunning. Yes I am biased towards gingers, but she is just gorgeous, and she looks different from the usual stringy blonde androgynous trash that wobbles down the runway. Anja is my second choice - but all I see when I look at her is Linda Evangelista.

I just want to punch Fiona in the face. She's mega-annoying.

That's why they keep her in the show - to keep people watching.

Nah, it's okay, I wasn't trying to prolong the suspense, otherwise I would've just avoided this topic altogether. I thought Anja had a really interesting face, and she looked terrific in photos, though I agree she was a bit gangly.

If I'm remember her correctly, she had the really bony, wide, shoulders and watching her walk was like watching a giraffe stumble. she reminded me of young boys whose arms grow too fast, and they dangle there and the body is still trying to figure out a way to work it.

As far as Fiona's looks go, I think she looks just like Catherine Zeta Jones.

And I think Hana is a mix of Scarlett Johansson and Angelina Jolie, though not as pretty as that combination should be.

Exactly my view of her as well. Just like a young giraffe. All legs. And yeah, they cut her hair, and I didn't think the bangs did her face any good.

I don't think it was really fair how Heidi forced Fiona to speak up, and the cold shoulder from the other girls wasn't that great either, as they are all talking bad about each other except Barbara- she is just too nice, and perky, she can look pretty, but she is lacking emotions.
Mandy is too much like a Claudia Schiffer look alike, but she also has not emotions.
Too bad Anja couldn't walk, she was the best in print imo.

Ah Anja is the Milla Jovovich lookalike because of her nose. I don't think any look especially pretty to be a top model but imho Barbara and Hana could do the best job, though Barbara looks too nicey-nicey and doesn't have enough sex appeal. That may come with time though.

Isn't Heidi Klum a bit scary? i don't buy all that upbeat, jolliness that she comes out with. She looked positively poisonous when grilling Fiona last night and later when she gave Hana a bit of a warning not to show it so much when she was having a bad day. I reckon she is one tough cookie - didn't get where she is without being that.

Fiona should have been turfed last night. She is only there because the show would be a total bore with the only the other contestants remaing. There would be no sparks flying with only the mild mannered Barbara, Hana, and Mandy and the now tamed down Anni. We'd probably all be switching off.

I agree that not one of those girls is a future Claudia Schiffer or Cindy Crawford. That's because girls like that are already talent spotted when they are 15 or 16 years of age and whisked off to one of the top agencies in the world.

I doubt every single top model has been scouted already though - they surely don't send scouts out to every single village in the country?!

These girls are way better than the american's top model candidates. Watched an episode recently and they are all so plain looking. Nothing glam about any of them. I think the german contestants are much more naturally pretty...

i have never seen the German show but i got a chance to see the US version last week with trya banks. the above comment also applies to tyra imo. maybe that comes with the job?

Heidi is hardly a great model though is she...so probably even more conniving then she seems...She's only really strong in stylised photo shoots because of her angular features...not much in her in terms of catwalk apart from getting her baps out for victorias secret...

That thing about scouting models early is valid, but I think they tend to go to stereotypical places like eastern Europe these days(just hearsay...but ya know...) someone like Anja would have been way ahead if she'd have had that kind of prolonged training...I reckon she could still do it with training though, was the only one with that special model look and attitude, if lacking in grace...

exactly, most models are found by the time they are 16, and these girls are trying to start in the big league and most are early 20's. Late bloomer models only work for plus size models.

One of the strongest things that comes across to me, is that if you are a moaner or in any way negative, then you will not get far in that show. Heidi Klum et al are not up for whingers at all. If you are scared of heights or photo shoots with elephants, then do not show it or you will probably be on a one way ticket out of there. There was an underwater photo shoot last season where one girl complained the whole time and she was gone at the end of that episode. Milla left last week and her photo shoot with the elephant was not comfortable. Anja left last night after a bad mid-air photo shoot (i am not saying that was the only reason they were kicked out):

Klum is gritty and hard nosed and you can see her face close up if any of those girls airs a negative comment. last night someone said something about jet lag and Heidi is in there with 'try feeding a child every 3 hours on top of that - i flew from germany to LA too you know'.

In some ways, I think it is not a bad thing as it sends the message to young people watching that no one is going to get to the top in that industry without hard work, being positive and being switched on like a light bulb 24/7 (at least when in the public eye). As one judge said last night, 'you have to be up for everything'. It is not all glamour and parties.

They could show more scenes where the girls are wrecked and tired and are at the end of their tether at times. We don't see enough of that.

Have any of the winners of America's, Britain's, Australia's, Canada's, Germany's etc etc etc etc Next Top Model ever gone on to widespread international acclaim? Have any of them made it to the status of "supermodel"?

Well that's one of the problems when the industry wants to employ such young models. They usually have zilch professional experience, or have even left home before. I know when I was that age that I'd complain if I had to do such things and it hurt or inconvenienced me. After working, you realise you cannot be so unprofessional and complain in that manner. These girls, as you say, are mostly teenagers still and I don't think that should be forgotten.

I just have to say, this season is way more exciting to watch. I LOVE the fight between Anni, Hana and Fiona. Fiona's a bit psycho, but she's so entertaining.. and Anni's just so conniving - I love it. I think they're all really good models, so all their bitching doesn't really get them anywhere in the competition - it's pointless greatness.

I just find Fiona too childish. "Why does Barbara get all the gigs? The clothes don't even suit her.". "How come she found someone straight away. I can't find anyone. They are all busy.". "If the designers don't choose me then I won't make it. Why don't they choose me?"

She is just too "the world against Fiona" for my liking. It's a competition, and geez...she's the most ambitios of the lot by the looks of things. But whiney...oh so whiney.

Did you see the poor guy literally running away from her when she was trying to find a victim man for her poster photo shoot? Very funny. And she was all teary-eyed because she had to get up-close with the guy who was doing her a favor. Ungrateful little witch.

It's not just Fiona who gets jealous and whines like that.. Anni's EXACTLY the same. Everytime Fiona got cast for something (like the Paris show), Anni would freak out about not getting picked.

I love how yesterday she and Hana were mocking Fiona's bird crap statement and afterwards Anni criticized Hana for talking shit, saying "I've stopped worrying about Fiona long ago. I don't need to talk behind her back - one should be mature and get over it. I'm above all that." They're all childish

I like Fiona, reminds me of myself some- very energetic and wants to be the best and works on it... they keep Mandy and Barbara on, and those two make no attempts to improve themselves.
I don't like how Anni and Hanna are mobbing Fiona, and trying to get the other girls involved.
I have a feeling that 2 might get dropped next week since they dropped none this week.
