Does anyone know of anyplace more on the north side of town (Schwabing side) that repairs handys. I can't hear anything when someone calls me (and I can't hear when I call them) - obiously, I damaged the hearing part of the phone.
And it's an O2 Xda - so a mini computer, definitely worth repairing.

Is your contract with O2 (bear with me, it's Monday). They have a store at Georg-Brauchle-Ring across from Riesstrasse/next to the Aral gas station south side of the Mittlerer Ring. Possibly they can send it in and give you a replacement for the duration.

O2...what a joke. I went there yesterday and waited patiently for 15 minutes while the 3 people in the store dealt with the 15 customers that came in...anyhoo...I asked them if they would fix or at least take a look at my broken phone. The first question was 'Do you have an O2 contract?' and then 'What is your phone number?' He looked up my account and then said 'You can get a new phone for like 50€ if you renew your contract for 2 years'. I said 'I don't want to renew my contract for 2 years, I just want you to look at my phone to see if it can be fixed'. They said 'oh, we don't do that - it's not worth it to us to fix your phone'.

So, that was that. I will find someone else who will look at it. Honestly, I'm not going to toss an 800€ phone in the garbage because some little wire is probably disconnected in the ear piece. Everything else works perfectly.

Is it still under the 2 year warranty?
kitkat64
No, unfortunately, it's not. I got it 2.5 years ago (of course!).
It's it's an Mda so it has everything - it's a pocket PC and I don't want to ditch it for something so small!

I hope you find a good repair shop in Munich. If not, have a look at this site.

Thanks Minga...what I need done wasn't listed on the repair list and while they have a repair form to fill out, it doesn't say where to send it. Maybe I looked too fast. I just want to know if it is even fixable.
I will look in Unterschleissheim - I heard there is a guy out there somewhere who can fix anything.
