Hi
Feeling under the weather? Attack of the blahs?
Well don't take it personally, January 24th is the "most depressing day of the year" according to Cliff Arnall of Cardiff University.
QUOTE
He settled on January 24 after using an elaborate formula expressing the delicate interplay of lousy weather, post-Christmas debt, time elapsed since yuletide indulgence, failed new year resolutions, motivation levels, and the desperate need to have something to look forward to.
In short, all that's left of Christmas today is credit card bills and a pervading sense that the next holiday is months away.

Here's the maths:

Where:
W: Weather
D: Debt
d: Money due in January pay
T: Time since Christmas
Q: Time since failed quit attempt
M: General motivational levels
NA: The need to take action

So, how ya doin'?

Bugger, and I got depressed yesterday for no good reason. Damn you Ananova and your mistakes!

Edit: Phew, I was ok. Katrina, that article appears to be from last year. Ananova was right, bloody hell! Sorry to the news collection team over there for my earlier outburst.

Alright folks, if you survived Blue Monday then it can only get better for the rest of the year. Carry on, nothing more to see here.

Well, I am well pissed off with the fact that its sunny, is that what they mean? I want nice thick grey cloud coverage, no annoying stupid sunrays getting in my eyes/reflecting off the computer screen/shining on the telly and creating a frustrating blind spot on the left wing leading to me conceding a few easy goals on PES5 etc.

when i get annoyed at why i have to pay so much in the way of tuition fees it makes me hilariously happy to know that i do so because of such important study, such as this.

ok, JE's disappeared but neither of us found the sunshine, great snow or feeling of not being in the office on a tuesday at all depressing today. perhaps you could try it with us next year! (or even the next time we have fresh snow and sunshine)

OK, that explains a lot.

My granmothers dog died that day. 11 years of age.
I had to get a filling, the aneastetic did not work.
My TV broke.
I burnt my soup.

Well that sort of sums it up really.
It could be far worse I suppose.
