One has no chance to be an entirety follower. A lot of the books of the bible were censored. Thrown out, destroyed. So it is not possible IMHO to follow it in it's entirety.
The absorption of the pagan religions and superstitions into Christianity made this apparently a necessity for regional control of the people as opposed to a local control.

Geez I can't believe I am possibly being placed in some intolerance pigeon hole about this.

If there were hetero parades, and a guy and a girl wearing only tangas and doing the very violent and passionate big-open-mouth-big-tongue type kisses, I wouldn't take my kids to see that either.

Hetero parades usually involve floats and bands and Gene Autrey or Will Rogers or so (wait, are they the same guy?)

I think its very easy to pick and choose the parts you want to follow, but I really believe we are supposed to follow the bible in its entirety - this, however, is extremely difficult! I find that a lot of Christians are very hypocritical and most follow the bits of the bible which they find easiest!

I mean that Mormon guy who wrote that book claimed what ever he claimed, and lots of people believed him just because he said so, and so it is with the bible too.
Its beyond me why people in this day and age, still believe the bible to be true( I mean all whats related to non historical events, which even these are proven to be manipulated by the time of writing and the person who wrote them ).
Its proven and shown that some historical events appear more then once in the bible with various twists every time they are mentioned, to accommodate the context in which they were inserted in.
Any thing that you believe in that you don't KNOW FOR A FACT (that means that you have empirical facts to prove its existence) is nothing more than a believe, that in no way can be treated as a factual fact.
So if you like to believe the bible, go ahead be my guest.
If you have an intellectual desire to debate it, that fine too.
What I find quite annoying however is people who preach it as if it was a fact, and on top of that, try to force others to live according to their interpretation of that non factual book/belief.
